This tutorial will guide you through the basic setup of your Zyxel WiFi Access-Point! The main topic is how to create security profiles and change the SSID settings as your desire. After the guide, you will have a customized WiFi name with the desired security profile.
Walkthrough Steps
1. Web Access
Open the web-interface by typing in the IP address of the access point (static or dynamic via DHCP)
2. Security List
Go to Configuration > Objects > AP Profile > SSID > Security List and click on the add button.
3. Edit Security Profile
Set up the Security-Profile’s name, select the security mode you want to use. Please think about which security standard suits your purpose.(WPA2 is recommended).
Note: Use a strong password!


If desirable you can repeat step 3 to make a second security profile.
4. SSID List
Go to SSID List and click on the Add button.
5. SSID Profile
Set up the SSID-Profile’s name and enter the name of the wireless network you want to broadcast in the future.
6. Choose Security Profile
Select the Security-Profile which has been created in step 3.
If desirable you can repeat steps 4 and 5 to make a second SSID to broadcast.
7. AP Management Page
Go to Configuration > Wireless > AP Management.
8. Broadcast SSID
On the first (Radio 1) and the second (Radio 2), we select the SSIDs which have been created in step 4.
